MERKE is the customer brand of Merkentile Apparel LLC. This Privacy Policy applies to the information handled through merkeusa.com, including the MERKE First Access and Contact Us forms. It does not replace the privacy notices of services that operate their own properties, including Shopify checkout.
Information we receive.
We keep the information collected on this site limited to what is needed to operate it. When you choose to join First Access, we receive the email address you submit. When you use Contact Us, we receive the name, email address, and message you submit. Our website infrastructure also necessarily processes basic technical information such as device, browser, request, and security-log data while delivering the site.
We use Google Analytics to understand general use of merkeusa.com, such as pages viewed, navigation activity, device and browser categories, and approximate location derived from network information. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar identifiers to provide these measurement services. We use this information in aggregate to understand and improve the website; we do not ask you to enter personal information into Google Analytics.
We use Meta Pixel on MERKE public pages to understand site activity and measure whether Meta advertising is driving visits and shopping activity. Meta may receive browser, device, and activity information such as pages viewed, product-detail views, First Access or Contact Us form confirmations, and the start of checkout. Meta may use cookies or similar technologies for these purposes. MERKE does not intentionally send the content of your messages, your email address, or payment-card information in these events.
When you continue to checkout, you leave the MERKE website flow for Shopify. Shopify processes checkout, payment, shipping, tax, and order information under its own notices and settings. MERKE does not receive or store complete payment-card numbers through merkeusa.com.
How we use it.
We use First Access email addresses to maintain the MERKE list and, when communications are sent, to share collection, access, Archive, and future-edition updates. We use Contact Us submissions to understand and respond to the inquiry. We use website analytics in aggregate to understand which pages and shopping paths are useful. We may also use technical information to operate, protect, and improve the website; prevent misuse; and meet applicable legal obligations.
We do not use the First Access form to collect sensitive personal information. Please do not send sensitive information through an email-address field.
Your choices.
You may choose not to submit information through First Access or Contact Us; the main site remains available without doing so. Browser settings can be used to manage cookies, and Google and Meta provide controls for their services, including Meta ad preferences. If MERKE sends a First Access message, it will provide an unsubscribe option where required. You may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of a First Access email record or Contact Us submission through the Contact Us form.
Some privacy rights vary by location. We will consider requests in accordance with applicable law and may need to verify a request before acting on it.
Security and retention.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information held through the website. No online system can guarantee absolute security.
We retain a First Access email address for as long as it is needed for the list, until you unsubscribe or request deletion where applicable, or as otherwise required for legitimate operational or legal reasons. We retain Contact Us submissions as needed to address the inquiry, maintain business records, or meet legal obligations. Checkout and order information are retained according to the applicable Shopify settings, payment requirements, and legal obligations.
Policy changes.
We may update this policy as the MERKE site, collection access, or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the most recent revision. Material changes will be reflected on this page before or when they take effect, as applicable.
